West Overton Board Member Begins Public Service
Frank Schiefer, a member of the Board of Directors at West Overton Museums, recently took the oath of office to begin serving as one of two Jury Commissioners in Westmoreland County. Frank was elected during the primary election in May and was sworn in to fill a vacancy. He will appear on the ballot in November and then begin serving a four year term in his own right.
The photo above shows Frank taking the oath of office from Westmoreland County President Judge John Blahovec.
Congratulations Frank!

Volunteers Needed
Are you interesting in volunteering at a historic site? We may have a place just for you. We are currently looking for volunteers who are interested in assisting in our gift shop, working with the public as a tour guide, assisting with office work, or working in the gardens. If you have a special skill that you would like to share with us, we encourage you to contact us at info@westovertonvillage.org and we would be happy to speak with you.
